She Hulk & Kitty Pryde, Attorneys
In the thick of a fever dream on Friday night, I attempted to pitch the idea above to Marvel. I wasn’t well. Marvel were represented by an unrecognisable, fat, Stan Lee and “Avi Abrams Jr”. My reasoning was non-excellent:
“It’s what women want”
“Remember Ally McBeal?”
“I think we can get the courts involved”Like I say, I really wasn’t well. But I drew it anyway, just for YOU.
So last weekend was C2E2 in Chicago, and I had been freaking out about what to dress as. I had decided on a laid back Kitty Pryde costume, and wanted to make a Lockheed puppet to sit on my shoulders.
I thought I’d given myself enough time to work on it, but I am a huge procrastinator, also I knew I was going to have to sculpt the head which I’d never done before so I put it off as long as possible so he kind of sat there looking like a headless winged monkey.
but I finally did sculpt it. I used yellow marbles for his eyes and I attached a wire coat hanger under his chin so I could move his head around to look at people. I sewed elastic straps under his chest and legs so I could wear him without worrying he would fall off.
I threw on a yellow t-shirt I drew an X-Men ‘X’ on and I was done.
A lot of people got it, a few wanted pictures, some wanted to know where I got him.
Over all I was proud of my little purple dragon/alien.
Awesome Lockheed is awesome.
